Symmetry... how?

Sometimes it can be harder to teach youngsters some basic topic than teaching in the last years of primary education. Thus, I was thinking about how I could introduce the concept of symmetry within the first years of Primary and came across this funny and useful activity called “Reflecto natura”.
This game counts on 10 translucent plastic cards with drawings of the nature, a magic mirror, technical supports and a maker for the whiteboard. It consists of mounting the "magic mirror" with the supports and putting it in the middle of the board. This way we can see how the drawing is reflected in the mirror. As the mirror is a translucent one, the student can draw following the reflection.

Thanks to this game the child will learn to draw with reflected images and to join the two halves of each sheet. In sensorial terms, it is a particular feeling for them to draw through the mirror, seeing your own hand through it and trying to follow a drawing that is not really in the paper but in its reflection. This activity requires concentration and precision.
